Welcome to the weekly post where I discuss new additions to my 2025 queer streaming guide.

Disclaimer: All the shows listed below came out about one month ago because I've noticed that's how long it usually takes me to be able to confidently verify whether a show has queer representation. I'm not able to watch everything, but I'll only include shows that have proven queer characters as verified online through reputable sources.
Heated Rivalry • Season 1

HBO Max • Sports Romance • 🇨🇦 Canada • Renewed
Queer-o-meter: 🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈🏳️🌈
Type of queer representation: Gay (included 2 romances and some steamy scenes)
It's the hot new gay show everyone is obsessed with, including a lot of straight women, apparently! It features two central queer romances: the secretive, decade-long emotional journey of hockey rivals Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov, and the visible, groundbreaking relationship between veteran Scott Hunter and his partner Kip Grady. It's hot, it's cute, and it got renewed for a second season, so you can run to watch it if you haven't already.
